I found this necklace years ago at a vintage shop in Brooklyn and fell in love with the cat’s claws because they reminded me of small bird heads. The shopkeeper told me it was Brazilian but I have had a hard time finding anything out about it. I have only seen one other necklace like this in searches and it was a bit more busy looking. The cat’s claw or devil’s claw are meant to have protective qualities when worn as an amulet.
