Straw Star decorations from magazines, paper, maps & music

he star symbol and pentagram has been an important one for humans across the globe for thousands of years. These stars are much more recent and have been handmade (by me) using mostly recycled materials and vintage papers.

These hanging origami “straw” star decorations come in a variety of colours and materials. I started making them with plain coloured paper and card and then decided to experiment with recycling paper from old magazines, maps and musical scores. That makes these multicoloured decorations REALLY “green” even if they are pink or blue!!!

Choose 4 from the following or mix and match (send me a message):

Musical Stars
– These are made from 100% recycled paper and vintage musical scores.

Map Stars
– These are made from 100% recycled paper and vintage maps.

The Crack Magazine paper
– These are the smallest stars measuring approximately 4cm across. They are made from upcycled/recycled paper from old magazines.

The stars are approximately 4 – 6cm across and have a 10cm long loop to hang them from your Christmas tree or anywhere else you fancy!
