Tetra Pak Weaving - tilted square design made with loops
JennyWoodruff adapted an existing method of weaving loops of tetra pak together to make it stronger. It can be used to recycle tetra pak cartons into baskets, bags garden planters etc.
“This way of weaving from Tetrapak carton uses loops rather than strips.
This keeps the original strength of the carton.
The weave gives a tilted square pattern with small holes between them.”
- Strong shopping bags
- Storage baskets
- Laundry baskets
- Wrapping paper caddy
The length, height and width are whole number multiples of the 4 x 4 squares. The loops need to be 8 times as long as they are wide.
