Buy a wire gauge to determine the thickness

Remove coating by burning with a tealight, then sand off fire scale.

Also wire hiding under that electrical tape wrapped around that tube [?]. Usually thin copper, sometimes aluminum, coated but much nicer to wrap with. no burning needed

Electrical cords – the long orange ones for big power tools
