Books: The Family Creative Workshop

Published during the mid-70s, The Family Creative Workshop is 24 volume encyclopedia of crafting.

  • Crafts of the seventies include macrame, string art, mosaics, sand painting, tie dye and terrariums
  • Mainstream crafts such as knitting, crocheting and beading
  • There are also many more more obscure topics
  • Each technique has a variety of sample projects

Pleanary Publications, International Incorporated, 1974-76

Series author: Steven R. Schepp

The original US series consisted of 24 books. The UK series was not a full reproduction of the full US set and included only 19 books (ommiting #7,18,21,23, and 24 from the series – although many of the chapters were transported into some of the UK versions of the book).

The Index book is packed with reference guides, patterns etc. The Index for the UK series is just a 16 page booklet.
